The Balcony House Museum is located in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, and has a history of 220 years. It is the oldest wooden residential building still in use in the Bahamas. Originally a private residence, the “Balcony” features 18th-century royal wooden architecture, which is very beautiful. In 1985, the Central Bank of the Bahamas purchased the Balcony and carried out a comprehensive renovation. In 1994, the Balcony reopened as a museum. Unlike other museums, the collections in the museum mainly showcase luxurious furniture and special items, making it one of the most unique museums in the Bahamas. Visitors can enter the museum for free, but it has limited opening hours: from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from 9:30 am to 1 pm on Thursdays.
