Mui Ne is a town facing the South China Sea in the outskirts of Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan Province, in the southern part of Vietnam. It is situated between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang. Before 1995, it was a small fishing village whose main economic activity was producing fish sauce. Present-day Mui Ne is a well-known tourist destination in Vietnam, a burgeoning paradise-like resort, and also one of Vietnam’s top beach resorts.
Mui Ne boasts scenic beaches and sand dunes, which were developed into a tourist resort around 1995. The average annual temperature is approximately 27°C, with relatively warm winters. The main tourist season is from December to May. There are numerous attractions here, including White Sand Dunes, Fairy Stream, Po Sah Inu Tower, Fish Market, and Red Sand Dunes. The White Sand Dunes consist of fine white sand suitable for sandboarding. The Fairy Stream is a gentle stream with clear water and soft sand on its bed, surrounded by plants like clover along its banks. Po Sah Inu Tower is possibly the oldest surviving Cham temple, displaying deep influences from the ancient Khmer culture of the pre-Angkor period. The Red Sand Dunes are red sand dunes near the coast with soft sand that feels comfortable to walk on. Dense forests are found to the north and west of the dunes, providing opportunities for photos encompassing the dunes, coast, and forests.
