Lake Shala is famous for its sulfur hot springs along the lake shore and is favored by many tourists for its natural, pristine beauty. The lake is home to many white pelicans on the small islands within it, with one island even named “Pelican Island.” Surrounding Lake Shala are hot springs, and the surrounding land has many cracks due to erosion and earthquakes. The high temperature of the hot springs creates a misty and mystical atmosphere around Lake Shala. At the southern end of the lake, numerous flamingos and other birds nest and breed, freely frolicking and foraging on the lake, presenting a harmonious natural scene.
