Camiguin Island is located in the southern part of the archipelago. It is surrounded by the Bohol Sea, Philippine Sea, Celebes Sea, and Sulu Sea. The island has an irregular shape, with an area of 94,630 square kilometers (36,537 square miles), and a length of 471 kilometers (293 miles) from north to south, and a width of 521 kilometers (324 miles) from east to west. The island consists mostly of peninsulas, with Davao and Moro Bay in the south and Iligan Bay in the north, giving the coastline a jagged shape. The long semi-circular Tres Marias Peninsula extends southwest towards the Sulu Archipelago and Borneo. The Cotabato Peninsula and the Surigao Peninsula extend to the south and north respectively.
